Camping with Scounting Clique!

“Whoo, Hoo!” I yelled as I ran downstairs to ask my mom if today is the day where I get to go to scout camp, and she says yes. So with that answer I took a shower as fast as I could, packed my backpack, grabbed my swim shorts and forced my mom to get in the car. We drove for 20 minutes and we arrived at my camp. It is a place where you feel like you can have never ending fun. The field is about one acre surrounded by a whole bunch of benches and on the opposite side of the parking lot was a humongous lake. I ran down the hill and went to my group. There a camp leader explained that we will be divided into groups and that each group will have a leader. We did millions of fun activities. For example we did swimming, forester, craftsmen, ready man, and geology. When we did swimming, we played Marco Polo the whole time. We changed into our normal camp dress and headed for the next station. We ran to a picnic bench where an old man taught us about 6 types of plants and trees and our group leader told us that station was called forester. On our way to our next station, we played a few hand games and hurried over to a cluster of benches surrounded by some long fencing. Our leader told us that this station was called craftsman. The man who was leading the station showed us how to make different stuff like boxes and frames. Not only that but he taught us how to use mauls, saws, and screwdrivers. Right after that we ran all the way to the hill where we ate lunch. After an hour passed by, we went to a tavern. Our leader told us that the tavern station was called ready man. In ready man we learned about health and safety. We even learned what to do in dangerous situations. Nobody was excited for geology which unfortunately was our next station. Everyone walked wordlessly to the next station. The good thing was that the man cheered us up by teaching us experiments we can do with rocks. After camp, I told my mom how epic the camp was. This was the same thing that happened for a week not necessarily in that order but boy was it fun. I knew that a bunch of other kids also had fun. I think this is a great camp. I think I should also tell my friends to join boy scouts.
P.S. I might be coming to this camp again next year.

Trip to India!

My eyes opened to hear steel plates clanging on the wooden edge of the bed. I sat up on the bed and saw that my younger cousin whose name is Prathiti was playing with steel plates. This is almost an everyday thing. I convinced her to stop the noise but instead, she started crying and she ran to my aunt. Prathiti is the type of 3 year old that when you shout at her she starts crying immediately Now that you know the story of my younger cousin Prathiti there’s another child but he is no better than Prathiti. I got off the bed and started brushing my teeth. ARUSH! My mom shouted. I ran to the living room where the shout came from. There I saw broken glass and standing next to it was my brother Arush. Every hour Arush spills or breaks something no matter what. Now Arush is a different story than Prathiti. If you shout or hit him, he hits you back. He’s just 4 years old but really mean. Even though I’m 6-7 years older they just kill me. I have a few friends in India so I decided to play with them. I came back just in time for dinner. After my dinner, I heard a weird crying from the living room. It turned out that my mom was crying. This brings us to a very important issue and the reason why I’m in India. You see my mom’s dad died. It’s a sour thing I don’t like to talk about considering the fact he’s done a lot for me but it is also important to talk about him considering the fact that he is one of the most versatile human being I have ever seen in my Life. My grandpa is a very generous, nice, and a creative man. He is man with tremendous patience who loved kids and loved to work with them. A man with a very big heart who had time for every person he is acquainted with. His superb creativity is what enticed people around. On the whole he is the most delightful person who was loved by kith and kin alike.

Indeed, he developed the colony that he lived in. he almost planted every single plant in the colony. He is friends with every neighbor irrespective of the age. Basically as my mom puts it, my age and my word knowledge to describe him is simply not sufficient. To put it simple, in my words he is an epic grandpa.

With him gone the heart of the family is gone. Basically, the three grandchildren the above two that I mentioned and I aren’t going to change much. But the world for three people, my mom, my aunt and especially my grandma is going to change tremendously. I don’t know how but I just know it.
